Louis Pollack, MD

Dr. Pollack practiced neonatology in metropolitan Seattle for 30 years as university staff and a community-based private practitioner. He served for 10 years in various positions within the Perinatal Section of the American Academy of Pediatrics, including inaugural chair of the Committee on Practice, and was principle author of the original neonatology national practice survey. In addition to maternal-newborn quality improvement programs, he works with youth development and education projects in Ethiopia. He is a third degree black belt (Sandan) in Aikido, a Japanese martial art, and serves as director of Aikido Ethiopia. He is on the international boards of Aikido Ethiopia, One Love Theater and Long Live the Girls. Dr. Pollack currently serves as the president of Wax & Gold.
